Sidewalk Art Festival – May. Located in Downtown Grand Island on 3rd Street, this art competition features chalk drawings on the sidewalk – children, amateur and professional categories – with an entry fee to compete. Art in the Park - July. The 25th annual Fine Arts Celebration, “Art in the Park” is held under the canopy of trees next to the flower gardens in Grand Island’s Stolley Park. Over 80 artisans from across Nebraska and surrounding states will be exhibiting their work - pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, off-hand blown glass, photography, wood carving and quilting. A children’s art exhibit, a hands on children’s creative center, food booths and live entertainment will make this year’s “Art in the Park” a full day of summertime fun.
