Jackrabbit Run Golf Course. Selected by Golf Digest as a 3-1/2 Star Award Winner of Places to Play for 2001- 2002 and one of Omaha World Herald’s top 5 Midlands Public Golf Courses, Jackrabbit Run features all the hallmarks of Nebraska golf. Fonner View Golf Course. Opened in 1969, Fonner View offers a 9-hole executive golf course, par 3 with five par-4 holes. The easy to walk course features picturesque holes with large, slightly-sloped greens, tree-lined fairways, 3 water hazards and a few sand bunkers. The natural dips and rolls give the fairways an eye-pleasing contour and provide a true golf challenge. The course features 1,966 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 32. Indianhead Golf Club. The most complete golf facility in the Grand Island area, Indianhead is a public 18-hole, 6,607-yard, par-72 course with a luxurious clubhouse, a full line pro shop, driving range, rental carts, snack bar and indoor golf simulator. This beautiful and challenging golf course features tree-lined fairways, average-sized greens with some undulation and water hazards on three holes. The signature hole is #5, a 165-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a horseshoe island green surrounded by J. Frank Powl Lake. Riverside Golf Club. This 18-hole private golf course features tree-lined fairways and a river coming into play on six holes. The greens are slightly sloped and in excellent condition. The host course of Nebraska's "Michelob Amateur Golf Tournament,” Riverside offers a fully stocked pro shop, a full practice facility and a clubhouse with a snack bar.
